High-Speed Pursuit Ends in Tragedy: Illegal Sand Tractor Plunges into River Near Devtara, Driver Killed

A tragic high-speed accident in Devtara village has left a tractor driver dead after his vehicle, loaded with illegal gravel, plunged into a river. Sources suggest the driver was fleeing from the Mining Department and Sanderao police. Sumerpur CO Jitendra Singh Rathore and local officials are investigating the incident involving the Falna-based tractor and the fatal consequences of illegal mining activities.

A horrific accident claimed the life of a tractor driver late at night in Devtara village, under the jurisdiction of the Sanderao police station. The incident occurred when a tractor-trailer heavily laden with illegal gravel plummeted into a river, resulting in the driver's immediate death at the scene. Upon receiving the notification, police personnel and high-ranking officials rushed to the site to initiate emergency procedures. The deceased driver’s body was recovered and subsequently transported to the Sanderao hospital mortuary for further formalities.

ing Department and local police at the time of the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that the driver was operating the tractor at an excessive speed to evade authorities, which ultimately led to the catastrophic loss of control and the subsequent accident. Sumerpur Circle Officer (CO) Jitendra Singh Rathore and the Sanderao Station House Officer (SHO) remained present at the hospital to oversee the developing situation. This tragic event underscores the lethal risks associated with the illegal sand mining trade and the high-stakes confrontations that occur during enforcement operations in the region.
